Enterprise OCR Software PrimeOCR Version 5.2 Released
Woodinville, WA – Prime Recognition has made further enhancements to its enterprise OCR software, PrimeOCR. PDF processing improves while other production level features are upgraded.
Version 5.2 includes the following feature upgrades:
PDF “Super Impose” – The original scanned image, from the input PDF file, can now be superimposed onto the output PDF file for projects that need to retain the original, incoming image data.
Enhanced Fault Tolerance – Continuing to support the production imaging market, PrimeOCR’s fault tolerant logic has been improved further extending uninteruppted processing time for high volume OCR service.
Capture/InputAccel Certified Modules – As one of the first to be certified as an Capture/InputAccel certified module, PrimeOCR is currently available in three different versions under its Capture/InputAccel imaging system. The three versions correspond to v5.3, v6.0 and v6.5 of Capture/InputAccel.
Flexible PDF Optimization – When creating searchable PDF output and optimizing PDF files for web use, linerization, a local copy of Acrobat is no longer required.
User Defined PDF Version – Some PDF conversion projects require a pre-defined PDF version. PrimeOCR now provides the flexibility of defining the version of the searchable PDF file being created.
Enhanced Timeout Options – Additional options are provided so poor image quality processing does not exceed a pre-defined limit.
Improved OCR Accuracy through “Voting” Technology
Developed for the production OCR marketplace, PrimeOCR is an “omnifont” Windows™ based software OCR engine and Application Programming Interface (API) toolkit that uses a combination of proprietary “Voting” algorithms and technology licensed from the best retail OCR vendors.
PrimeOCR is able to reduce OCR errors by an average of 65-82% over the best conventional OCR software products while providing much cleaner data by implementing “Voting” technology. Since manual error correction can account for over 50% of an imaging system cost, by lowering error rates, PrimeOCR can reduce annual operating costs by 35%.
Designed around a fault tolerant architecture, PrimeOCR provides the production OCR marketplace with a reliable OCR software solution that generates cleaner results than conventional OCR software.
PrimeOCR has won a number of awards, including two “Product of the Year” awards from Imaging Magazine, and a “Top 10 of AIIM.”
